Darkness
Sometimes I close my eyes and the fears I’ve lived play out before my eyes. Burned into my memory. Stuck there like a splintering piece of wood wedged deep beneath the skin. I can feel the darkness looming, waiting to consume me. It has been circling around me as if there were a force field protecting me, but like it most often does, my force field is breaking down. My walls are shattering and the darkness flows in, only to consume me once again. The time is counting down, the clocks are ticking away until I’m gone again and hopefully this time I’ll be free. My adventure awaits, it’s time to go. Because my friends, To Die Would Be An Awfully Great Adventure.
